Mom, travel enthusiast, nerd, PharmD, superhost. In that order.
I built my first short-term rental on the side while juggling a full-time job, kids, and zero systems. I’ve messed up guests’ door codes. I’ve missed the license renewal deadlines. I quickly realized (1) this can’t scale, and (2) it’s too stressful. I needed a system that smooths out the operations, so that I can keep using my brain for learning/fun, not “remembering to change water filters”.
Everything inside the Vacation Venture Vault is built from real hosting experience and refined by trial and error. You could say I collated my mistakes + how I fixed them into a dashboard, aimed to prevent anyone else from making those same errors.
